Telstra Beach to Bush

The Telstra Beach to Bush program is in full swing throughout the country, kicking off in Queensland this week.
Over the next month, over 40,000 primary students in more than 300 regional schools throughout November will be visited by 60 of the country's finest surf lifesavers in a continued effort to prevent accidents and fatalities in the water, particularly as we head towards the warmers months of the year.
This year sees a new Telstra Beach to Bush ambassador in former World Ironwoman Champion, Naomi Flood (pictured). Naomi is also in line to head to the London Olympics as a kayaker and in her spare time (of which there isn't a lot at the moment, with all of the training!), she is the proud face and voice behind this year's Beach to Bush campaign and ensuring that she is speaking with as many young kids as possible about staying safe when enjoying the water.
Naomi featured in a live news cross to as part of Channel Ten's national morning news to launch awareness for the program.
